God is Good - part one

The heat pump was only $65 - it was some corroded wires. Yeah God!!!!!!!!! We are going to go look for the washer on Friday. I still know that I need to work on my contentment.

Broken Down!

Our washing machine has been broken for 2 months which has led to lot of time at the laundromat. I have jokingly called this our mission field. Tim actually bought an extremely intoxicated man a meal on Monday. I have loaned my cell phone as well. However, it takes a huge amount of time and is not pleasant at all. I feel so whiny - but shirts ruined by bleach, smoke smell in clean clothes, etc. I threw a small but very un-Christian wife fit last weekend and Tim had said we would go buy a new washer this week. Lo and behold we come Sunday night and the heat pump won't come on - at all. I am sitting at home right now instead of being at church waiting on the second repairman. The first company we called didn't show up at all when they said they would. Now we're waiting on a guy who does this on the side of his regular job hoping that it will be cheaper. We're just praying that it's not the whole unit. Hopefully it will be a small something! I feel guilty about being upset - there are much worse problems to have. I believe that Lord is trying to use this in my life to teach me contentment in my circumstance. I hope I learn it without anything else breaking.

Business

Obviously our life is too busy! I guess everyone's is but this is something I really struggle with which I really struggle. The Fall Festival was a great success in terms of numbers. We had a great vacation - I have to figure out how to post pictures. I just don't think that God wants us to be so busy! I don't know what to do about it either.

Sick

Sick! Sore throat and general yuckiness. I know it's not strep though. We need to have a big school day tomorrow so I must feel better. Today, Joshua and I played a looooong game of Life and watched two hours of Planet Earth - that's educational right. I hate we both missed Classical. Tomorrow just will have to be a better day.

Evertbody has a blog!

Since everyone I know seems to have a blog, I thought I'd try. It's 10:45 on Saturday night so this probably isn't the best time to start. I never journal anymore so here goes. Today has been a yucky day - too much to do, no money to do it. I love the work I do at church, but sometimes I am completely overwhelmed. The Fall Festival is coming up and I have so much to do. I have to get most of it done before we leave on our vacation in two weeks. Of course there's Classical to teach, GEMS to teach, Joshua to teach, Haley to take care of and Tim too if there's time! And the housework, and the dog, and trying to exercise and eat right. OK - enough whining. As Elisabeth Elliot says - do the next thing. My next thing is a bath and bed (as soon as the meatloaf is done).
